Kumbh Mela

Kumbh Melas are a traditional part of Hindu religion. Although they are held every six years at different places along the Ganges, this year's is considered the most sacred in 144 years because of a unique planetary alignment and because it takes place where the Ganges and the Yamuna rivers merge.
