Listen to Me! Men and Women Listen Differently Pop psychology indicates that men and women often fail to communicate. Research at the University of Indiana medical using brain scans indicates that men listen with only one side of their brain while women use both sides. While the study does not indicate that women listen better or more intently than men, it does suggest that there are some subtle neurological differences between the sexes that we cannot yet understand.
