Britt Andreatta, Ph.D. is currently the Director of First Year Programs & Leadership Education at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Andreatta coordinates and teaches UCSB’s freshmen experience course; coordinates programming and mentoring efforts for freshmen students; coordinates programming for parents of freshmen during summer orientation; and teaches “University and Society" as well as “Introduction to Leadership." She provides training on the first year experience (for both freshmen and transfer students) to students, staff, and faculty both at UCSB and at other institutions. In 2003, Dr. Andreatta won the award for Outstanding Experienced Professional by the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). | A. Jerome Jewler is a best-selling author, educator, and lecturer.
Currently a distinguished professor emeritus of the College of Journalism
and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina, he has contributed
his expertise and guidance to college success education and training since
1972. In addition, he served as the co-director for the campuswide University
101 program from 1983 to 1989 and was responsible for planning and conducting
faculty development workshops focusing on teaching first-year students.
Jewler received the Mortar Board award for teaching excellence in 1993
and 1997 and, in 1996, was named the University of South Carolina’s
Faculty Advisor of the Year.
