1. Pin up on the wall three different newspaper front pages. Judging from the display type and layouts, guess from five feet away which of the papers feature highly controversial stories. Then read the three front pages and report on your findings at the next class meeting.

2. Compare the layout of Page One of The New York Times to the layout of the first page of the Times' business section. What differences do you notice, and why do you suppose such differences exist?
