4. You are the news editor of the Daily News. Your newspaper has a six-column format, and the nameplate is six columns across and 2 inches deep. The headline type runs from 14 points to 72 points.

You have 10 stories and six pictures available for Page One (see table below). You cannot place all of them on Page One, so use your editorial judgment to select the most important stories while providing variety on the page. Keep in mind that you can jump stories. A 30-inch story, for example, need not be finished on Page One. How much of the story will appear on the front page is up to you.
