Select no more than six of the most important or interesting stories and illustrations for display on Page A 1. The stories and art are listed below. Design the page, making certain that you identify all elements on the dummy with the appropriate slug. That includes stories, headlines, art and cutlines. Reread the information in this chapter to determine the appropriate headline size.

Keep in mind that you can jump stories to an inside page. You may make the art any size you choose, and you may assume that you have mugshots to illustrate any of the stories, in addition to the art that accompanies some of the stories. If you dummy a mugshot, however, you must dummy it in one of only two sizes: 1/2 column by 1-1/2 inches (this is called a half-column mug), or 1 column by 3 inches.
