9. Peewee baseball newspaper layout. Lay out a photo page for a community newspaper. Select from these six photos and write captions for those you use. In addition to the photos and captions, you have a story that is 8 column inches long for the page.

Caption information: This is a summer peewee baseball league. The Rocky Hill Rangers are playing the Bearden Bobcats. In this league, adults serve as pitchers and try to pitch so that every batter has a good chance of hitting the ball. Both boys and girls play on the teams. In this particular game, the Rocky Hill Rangers beat the Bearden Bobcats by a score of 12 to 8.

Photo #1: Parents of the players cheering on the sidelines.

Photo #2: Joel Cantrell is returning to his second-base position. He has just hit a home run that put his team, the Rocky Hill Rangers, ahead by one run. This is the last time at bat for the opposing team.

Photo #3: Sammy Sowell bats for the Bearden Bobcats during the final inning. The Rocky Hill catcher is Jimmy Sweet. The pitcher is James Sweet, Sr., Jimmy's father.

Photo #4: Sarah Leaverton standing in centerfield.

Photo #5: Tiffany Smyth is on first base during the third inning of the game. She has just hit a ground ball and beaten the shortstop's throw to first base.

Photo #6: This is the Rocky Hill Rangers' coach, Mr. Robert Sowell. He is standing at first base while his team bats.
