You smell alcohol on Johnny’s breath when he comes to school. Janie misses school often to take care of her younger siblings. You notice that the lower level English classes have an over representation of minority students. A group of your students came to you and asked you to start each class with a prayer. You plan on having students read Huckleberry Finn and an African American parent objects. Suzy is supposed to be mainstreamed into your class, but the door is not wide enough for her wheelchair. The Tranh’s have just moved into your school district and no one at the school speaks Cambodian. Your school does not believe in teaching evolution. You ignore the fact that one of your students and their family are residing in the US illegally. You think that one of the teachers on your team tampered with his students’ answers on the state mandated tests. You notice that the math teacher only calls on boys during math class.
