Province of the Massachusetts Bay.

1761.

I ___________________ Do hereby Inlist myself to serve His Majesty as a Soldier in one of the Regiments raised in the Province, to provide for the full and entire Security of His Majesty鈙 Dominions in North America, and particularly His Majesty鈙 Conquests there, during the Absence of such Part of the Regular Forces, as shall be employed in an Enterprise against the Enemy, to continue in the said Service until the first Day of July 1762 ; unless by the intervention of Peace, by the Return of the said Regulars, or by other Means I shall be sooner discharged. And I do hereby acknowledge to have received of __________________ Five Pounds five Shillings and four Pence, being the Part of the Bounty to be paid in Money, according to the Resolution of the General Court.

__________________________ Personally appeared before Me the Subscriber, one of His Majesty鈙 Justices of the Peace, and acknowledged he had read to him the Second and Sixth Sections of the Articles of War, against Mutiny and Desertion: He took the Oath of Fidelity : He acknowledged that he had received of ____________________ Five Pounds five shillings and four Pence, being that Part of the Province Bounty which is paid in Money. He was inlisted on the 行行行行行____________ Day of ______________ 1761, into the above Service.
