West and South Insist That Another Convention Be Held-Business Men Protest Against the Unwelcome Platform-Declare with one Accord it Means Country's Financial Ruin

Chicago Chronicle.
An overwhelming majority of the Democrats of the United States, through their leaders and newspapers have repudiated the ticket and platform adopted by the Chicago convention last week. The movement in behalf of a ticket and platform which will be truly representative of the national Democracy will now be pursued with vigor. The feeling is widespread that it would be little short of a crime for the party leaders to put the voters in a situation where, if they vote at all, they will be pushed to the necessity of choosing between McKinleyism and Populism. . . .
In order to show the urgent necessity to which exists for pushing a third ticket into the field the following list of Democratic representatives which decline to support the Bryan-Sewail Populist combination has been compiled:
