Migrations in Modern World
History is designed for all students of history. It uses the theme
of migrations as a tool to teach history and particularly the process
that historians go through in interpreting history. The final objective
is to get students to develop and support their own historical interpretations.
Historical migrations are
a springboard to explore a wide range of global issues in social, cultural,
economic and political history. Migration in Modern World History
allows students to challenge, assemble and critique interpretations
of history in an interactive format using tools and practices employed
by historians.
Each of the 13 units contain
numerous documents and narratives that prepare students for the exercises
and questions that lead them to develop and support their own interpretations
of history.
