Participation Activity 2
Go to
http://thomas.loc.gov/home/thomas.html
, the main resource for researching legislative activity in Congress. Do a search for "constitutional amendment" for the current session of Congress. If there are none, search past sessions of Congress.
1. Give a brief summary of each of the proposed constitutional amendments you find.
2. Pick one about which you feel strongly, pro or con. Compose an e-mail clearly stating how you feel and why. Communicate this to members of Congress by going to
http://www.senate.gov/
and
http://www.house.gov/
. Even if the amendment is not currently under consideration, it could be reintroduced in the future.
