Pick an issue of great importance to you that involves federalism. In general, it will involve requirements that the national government puts on states, or powers it takes from them. Examples are education standards, welfare programs, and highway construction. Research your issue thoroughly and develop a well-founded opinion.

2. What is the current policy on this issue? What are proposed changes, if any?
3. What is your stance on the issue? Why do you feel this way?
4. Compose a 100-300 word statement relating what you would like done on this issue and why. Proofread carefully for grammar, spelling and clarity. E-mail it to your representative and senators. (
