Participation Activity 1 :: Participation Activity 2

Participation Activity 2

Political parties depend on volunteers to further party goals. Volunteer for a party that you are in general agreement with and that has a local presence at at least the county level. Check the phone book, the League of Women Voters, or your American government professor for contacts.

1. What did the party have you do?

2. In what ways could this work increase the influence of the party?

3. Did you enjoy the work you did? Did you like the people you worked with?

4. Why are party volunteers an important part of the democratic process?
