Think about social policy issues that are currently in the news and choose one that is important to you. Spend time in the library and on the Internet researching all aspects of the issue until you have a good understanding of it.

2. What is current government policy on this issue?
3. What do you think government policy on this issue should be? Why?
4. List and describe all the ways you could exercise influence on this issue.
