Geographic Question:
Observe the distance between South Africa and Europe.
Write an explanation of at least two geographic features that help explain why the history of European imperialism in South Africa began so much earlier than in other African colonies (except, of course, for Africa’s Mediterranean coast)?
Demographics question:
a. Find two statistics from the demographic data that are probably indicators of citizens’ demands upon the state.
b. Find another of those statistics that suggests an asset the state has for meeting those demands.
c. Find two statistics from the demographic data that suggest the state will probably have difficulty meeting those demands.
d. Write a brief exposition describing the demands you hypothesized and the prospects that those demands will be met by the state in the short and long terms.

b. the percentages of the populations involved in agriculture for each country
