The Plight of Indigenous Peoples
Indigenous peoples are located in all types of countries, but are often found in high numbers in the least developed countries. They usually are near or at the bottom of power hierarchies. What are some contemporary and historical examples of indigenous peoples? What are examples of their lifestyles? How are they typically treated? In what ways have they sought to increase their political influence?
