Welcome to Wadsworth's International Relations in History mini-site. IR in History offers a contextual view of key historical events and how they relate to international relations. The resources on this site will help students identify historic themes in international relations.

Chronology of World Events provides a timeline framework for a number of exercises. This timeline chronicles key events in International Relations and integrates InfoTrac College Edition and Internet activities analyzing these events.

InfoTrac Exercises direct students to a number of articles available in the InfoTrac College Edition database. Critical thinking questions related to the articles can be answered and submitted via the website.

Internet Activities covering topics like the Russo-Japanese War, the Division of Poland, and the Cuban Missile Crisis take historic events and ask students to think about them in terms of international relations and foreign policy.

Historical Maps offer commentary and critical thinking questions that give students a visual sense of the course of time and international relations.

In addition to the useful historical context of this mini-site, students are encouraged to explore the International Relations Resource Center for more resources.
