How the survey looks can be as important as what it says. A nicely formatted survey can convince a potential participant to go ahead and complete a self-administered survey. Strong visual presentation tells the participant that you care about what you are doing and took the time to make it readable and attractive.

The visual presentation of a survey can help an interviewer ask the appropriate questions with few pauses or corrections. The survey should always have accurate spelling and good grammar. It should be readable with clean lines. Artwork and special fonts can enhance readability and clarity.
