Artwork and fonts can enhance the attractiveness and readability of the survey. Researchers will sometimes create a logo that represents the topic of the survey. Logos can pique the curiosity of potential participants. They also serve as a visual reminder to complete the questionnaire. Finally, an attractive logo shows that the researcher put a great deal of thought and effort into constructing the survey, factors that can enhance response rate. Presented below is a logo created by a graduate student conducting a study of emotional reactions to pacemakers in a group of elderly men and women with cardiac arrhythmia.
