The graph presented below is the distribution of sample means. This graph, or distribution, is more commonly known as the sampling distribution of the mean. Any graph or distribution of values of sample statistics is called a sampling distribution. The name of the statistic is included at the end to identify which sampling distribution is being presented (e.g., sampling distribution of the mean, sampling distribution of the median, sampling distribution of the variance).
