- The t test for one sample tests whether the sample came from a known population.

- To calculate a t test, we use the sample mean (M), the population mean (μ),

the sample standard deviation (sx), and the sample size (N).

- The larger the sample size, the greater the chance of finding a significant difference between the sample and the population.
